In Portree we'd anticipated that Oban might be a good rendezvous for Jill & Mike to return to the boat and complete the circumnavigation.
This because Jill sadly took a burn to her ankle from a spill whilst cooking our supper in Loch Torridon. She bravely ate her supper that night with her foot in a bucket of cold sea water!
We set off for Portree, Jill determinedly back on the helm, with a view to seeing a doctor at the hospital where the first advice seemed precautionary for the hospital to recheck the blister on Friday. Hence Jill & Mike did stay in Portree whilst we came towards Oban.
It was with sorrow and disappointment that we heard that Jill can't yet join us and so they are returning home.
We have missed sharing the journey with Jill and Mike over these past three days. Our hope that they may yet join us for a final leg remains whilst our prayers and good wishes are with them for Jill's speedy recovery.
